It’s Pride Month 2021 and COVID-19 can’t stop our gay pride! The 5th annual LGBTQ Gettysburg Pride event is coming June 4-6, 2021. While there won’t be any indoor events this year, there will be plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. One of these activities includes a performance by everyone’s favorite Golden Girl Bea Arthur a.k.a. Jason B. Schmidt of The Golden Gays. You definitely don’t want to miss it!

Jason B. Schmidt lives, breathes, and is the fabulous Bea Arthur! Whether you’re a huge Golden Girl fan, a Maude Maniac, or someone who simply loves to have a great time, you’ll absolutely adore Jason.

With a background in Broadway theatre and television, a performance by Jason B. Schmidt provides a phenomenal evening of entertainment. He brings a magical and enthusiastic presence to the stage that will keep you captivated and entertained all night.

The Golden Gays and Bea-Yond

Jason B. Schmidt is no stranger to the stage and the screen. With a ton of experience, his extensive resume includes Dog Opera by Constance Congdon, which he also co-produced, Momentum Rep’s It’s Only Life, and the theatrical revue of John Bucchino’s best musical numbers featuring Mr. Bucchino at the piano.

Other credits include the German transvestite assassin Friedrich in Hit Girls: An Ass-Kicking Musical in Heels. He also starred as Dorothea in the Golden Girls Parody, Thank You For Being a Friend: The Musical. Additionally, he flaunted his “perfect comic timing” off-Broadway in the Gayest Christmas Pageant Ever! 

Jason is also part of the hilarious drag trio The Golden Gays. They burst onto the scene in 2017 and haven’t looked back since! They’ve traveled around the U.S. delighting audiences in New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. No matter what Jason does, he always entertains. He can’t wait to celebrate gay pride in Gettysburg!

Gettysburg Pride – Equality for the LGTBQ+ Community

Gettysburg Pride is now celebrating its 5th year. This year, they’re marching especially for Black Trans Lives. While we have to be extremely safe this year due to Covid-19, there are still amazing things to see and do while you’re in town.
